Who We Are
My Refuge House (MRH) is a ministry established for the purpose of providing a safe home to young women and children who have been rescued from sex trafficking. MRH is dedicated to alleviating the effects of abuse and trauma sustained by these victims. We enlist international and local communities to support the cause of human rights for all.
Background and Importance
Child Sex Slavery and Child sex trafficking is a major issue in the world today. There is an extreme injustice to millions of young women and children that must be addressed, especially within the Christian community.
Rendering of the New MRH Facility
We are excited to announce plans for a new building project—a place that will become the permanent home of My Refuge House which we hope will open by February 2011. The new facility will allow the improved care of sex-trafficked victims and expand the reach to more children and teens in the Philippines. While building plans are already in motion, there is an immediate need for funding, to move from the planning phase to actual construction. To cover these expenses, approximately $350,000 is needed. Right now the future home is a vision and a hope; may it become a reality, where the girls who come through its doors can find a new vision and a new hope for their lives.
